My Energy Plan™ Video Challenge for NH residents. Some great prizes are up for grabs for winners of the contest including an overnight stay here at the Inn at Valley Farms. We are proud to support efforts such as these that promote greater understanding and better usage of our precious natural resources and we encourage you to do so as well.
The contest is being run by the New England Carbon Challenge (NECC), a joint initiative of the University of NH and Clean Air-Cool Planet. NECC is inviting individuals and groups from across New Hampshire to submit 1- to 4-minute videos about what they do (and plan to do) to reduce their energy consumption. The contest is for New Hampshire residents ages 13 and older and submissions must be received before February 28th.

Here at our bed and breakfast and farm we know first hand that there are cost savings associated with thoughtful planning and reduced usage of our natural resources. We encourage all NH residents to get involved (whether you produce a video for the My Energy Plan contest or not) by taking a look at your current practices and striving to improve upon them in the New Year. As always we welcome conversations on related topics and are happy to share our experiences with others as well.
The Inn at Valley Farms was designated an “Environmental Champion” in 2009 by the New Hampshire Sustainable Lodging Program, the first such lodging establishment in the Monadnock Region. Many of our mindful practices are listed on "Our Environmental Philosophy” page of our website. We are constantly seeking additional ways to reduce our energy usage and associated costs. If you have a suggestion we haven’t implemented yet, please let us know. Ultimately, it’s a win-win for us all! Good luck with the contest!
