A bridal luncheon and fashion show featuring wedding attire through the ages will be presented by the Women’s Fellowship of the Walpole Congregational Church and the Walpole Historical Society. A faux wedding will take place this Saturday, May 21st, at 11:30 AM during which accompanying commentary will describe the clothing, giving details as to when, where, and by whom the gowns were previously worn.
Guests will enjoy a light three-course luncheon during the event. Six vintage wedding gowns from the 1800’s and early 1900’s will be displayed as well as wedding fashions from 1893 to present. The event will conclude with wedding cake, coffee, tea and drawings for door prizes.

Seating is limited and tickets are available for $20.00 each, from Galloway Real Estate, Murray’s Restaurant, and the Walpole Creamery, all in Walpole. For further information, please call 756-3997 or 756-3396. Why not make it a weekend event and come stay at our New Hampshire country Inn?

Zumba for Chocolate in downtown Walpole, NH!

Friday, May 13th, 2011 Zumba is coming to Walpole, NH! Part salsa, part maranga, and a little bit rock and roll - get in on the fun and support the Cocoa Farming Future Initiative all at the same time!  The party starts at 7pm in the Walpole Town Hall in downtown Walpole with dance instructor Ajlan LaRock. Suggested donation $10/pp and $5 for youth. Food available, BYOB. Money raised will go to promote sustainable agriculture, economic development, and the conservation of biological diversity on the Island Nation of Grenada.

The Cocoa Farming Future Initiative (CFFI) is a non profit working to raise awareness and money for cocoa farmers of Grenada and surrounding island nations. CFFI works closely with the Grenada Cocoa Association (GCA), a cooperative of 5,000 farmers which has been in operation since 1946. CFFI and GCA are working to grow, ferment, market and sell high quality sustainable crops, educating through their five nurseries on the island and promoting the current best practices in cocoa farming with good shade canopy management techniques.
